One of Dustin's favorite books of the Bible. Many times over the years when I needed
pep talk or Dsutin was just ventng about life he would refer to Scriptures from this Book of the Bible.
THE BOOK OF JOB
CHAPTER 23
Job seeks the Lord and asserts his own righteousness—He says:
When the Lord has tried me, I shall come forth as gold.
Wow this a page I am sure we all can add to for years. Dustin was a awesome
person and such a generous and loving person to all. He put all before himself and helped so many with his words of wisdom.
In which all came from his heart. He gave me many of those pep talks and I remember many of them daily. He is not here on
earth to tell us his thoughts but will tell each one in time when he is asked. I have found the poems and quotes below that
I feel what Dustin's life was about. He was a very free spirited person and always a smile on his face and so many different
people all wrapped into one. I know many of you Dustin touched your life in a major way as he did mine. And when you find
yourself thinking what would Dustin say or do remember we are all our own person and can not be Dustin but can get so much
out of his life and how he lived it to the fullest. That will help us all become our own person that we truly want to
be.
I gave birth to Dustin Sept.2nd 1982 and I can tell you all I have never
met anyone in my life like him and so very proud that God blessed me with such a special son. My Baby Boy you
are ONE OF A KIND! God broke the mold after creating you.
Tiffany sent me the "Three Minute Dash" on Dec. 13th,2007 And felt
like the new year I should share with you. If you click on the heart below will take you to the Movie. I do want to say I
believe with all my heart Dustin lived his life to the fullest and was such a loving person to all. And if anything he would
have changed being on earth would be he would have not gotten into that car with no seat belt on Sept.27th, 2007.
But now that he is in Heaven nothing at all would he change nor would he want to come back to us but wanting to see us all
again in this joyous place in which he lives. Watch the movie we all have something we need to change in our lives and not
put off because you never know when your dash is over. Love you all, Patti Rawls
MAKE EVERYDAY
COUNT! Appreciate
every moment and take from it everything that you possibly can, for you may never be able to experience it again. Talk
to people you have never talked to before, and actually listen. Let yourself fall in love, even if it doesn't seem
right because you are too young or too far, just follow your heart. Surround yourself with those who make you smile,
laugh, and make you happy. Break free and set your sights high. Hold your head up because you have every right to.
Tell yourself you are a great individual and believe in yourself, for if you don't believe in yourself, no one else
will believe in you. Create your own life the one you deserve.
This Moment
I may never see tomorrow; there is no written guarantee,
And things that happened yesterday belong to history,
I cannot predict the future, I cannot change the past,
I have just the present moment, I must treat it as my last,
I must use this moment wisely for it soon will pass away,
and be lost to me forever as part of yesterday,
I must exercise compassion, help the fallen to their feet,
Be a friend unto the friendless, make an empty life complete,
The unkind things I do today may never be undone,
And friendships that I fail to win may nevermore be won,
I may not have another chance on bended knee to pray,
And thank God with humble heart for giving me this day.
Finish each day and be done with it.
You have done what you could;
some blunders and absurdities have crept in;
forget them as soon as you can.
Tomorrow is a new day;
you shall begin it serenely
and with too high a spirit to be
encumbered with your old nonsense.

You can have anything you want - if you want it badly enough. You can be anything you want to be, do anything you
set out to accomplish if you hold to that desire with singleness of purpose. Abraham Lincoln
The secret of getting ahead is getting started. The secret of getting started is breaking your complex, overwhelming
tasks into small, manageable tasks, and then starting on the first one. Mark Twain
Courage
You Must Try Again
Life is a long and bumpy road.
We each carry our troubles,
like a heavy load.
There are many hard turns
and some dead ends,
But whenever we're stuck,
we must try again.
No one's got an easy ride,
But failure can be pushed aside.
When we give up hope
nothing good can happen.
So, when all seems lost
you must try again.
You can't have a meal,
if you don't sit at a table.
You won't learn the moral,
if you don't read the fable.
You can't take control,
if you're plagued by inaction.
And you won't overcome loss
if you don't try again.
When the coin's in the air,
if you don't pick heads or tails,
Having not made a choice,
you are bound to fail.
But if you choose and choose wrong,
you can always still win,
Because on the next flip
you can still try again.
Those who succeed
seem to have it made,
Basking in the sunshine
or lying in the shade.
But they've been down too
and it was just then,
That they picked themselves up,
so they could try again.
So, when your spirit is weak
and you need to cry
And you want to be happy,
but you have to sigh,
When things seem bleakest,
that's the time when
You must shrug it all off
and try, try again.

Don’t Quit
When things go wrong as they sometimes will; When the road you're trudging seems all uphill; When the funds are
low, and the debts are high; And you want to smile, but you have to sigh; When care is pressing you down a bit - Rest
if you must, but don't you quit.
Success is failure turned inside out; The silver tint
of the clouds of doubt; And you can never tell how close you are; It may be near when it seems afar. So, stick to
the fight when you're hardest hit - It's when things go wrong that you mustn't quit.

to me
Dwell on the past -- but not the negative past, not the pain of the past
nor the sadness. Dwell on the good. Be consumed by past joys and obsessed with gratitude. Dwell upon the moments that uplifted
you, the times you laughed and the memories of love shown to you by friends and family.
Not everything should be remembered,
and those who live well know what to forget and what to cherish. Like the song says, "There ain't no future in the past."
But there IS joy there. And love. And kindness...if we choose to remember.
